Public bug reported:
On a fresh minimal installation of the daily builds of Ubuntu 25.10, the
/usr/bin/pollinate script (as part of the `pollinate.service` systemd
service) has some issues on line 23: `mktemp: Permission denied` (Exit
code 126).
It attempts to execute something like `mktemp -d -t
"pollinate.XXXXXXXXXXX"` and that fails.
Debugging steps:
- Running that `mktemp` command manually: works.
- Running `/usr/bin/pollinate` as root manually: does not work, same error as
above. This rules out the systemd-service as the cause.
- `/tmp` is mounted as the Ubuntu 25.10 default:
`rw,nosuid,nodev,inode64,size=1740032k,nr_inodes=1048576` and is not listed in
`/etc/fstab`
