Okay, Dan Hill and I decided this morning that this particular point release has gotten a bit too controversial, and that point releases should really be as uncontroversial as possible, so they are easier to produce and maintain in the future.
So for this current SRU, we will keep it as uncontroversial as possible, and just do the 17.2.9 point release and nothing more. So we will keep the existing patch-out-exporter.patch as is. In a future SRU, we will go about enabling ceph-exporter and getting it packaged up and tested properly. I filed bug 2124228 to keep track of this, and we can start work as soon as this SRU is released. I will likely upload the new 17.2.9 SRU tonight, just waiting on builds on all architectures in both -updates and -proposed to finish. Notes: d/p/fix-lvm-devices.patch is https://tracker.ceph.com/issues/63490 upstream. It has been backported to 17.2.8 by https://github.com/ceph/ceph/commit/9e8372a8c50b00d0fe84003a6a9477c889391bd4 and is no longer needed to be carried. The second hunk of fix-lvm-devices.patch is not related to the original issue, and fixes a FTBFS. I moved it to a new file to make this clear. ** Bug watch added: tracker.ceph.com/issues #63490 http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/63490 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2100625 Title: [SRU] ceph 17.2.9 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/2100625/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
