Hi all! Ok, we're in 2025, and I experienced the same issue with my TB snap 140.2.0 esr on a Kubuntu 24.04 machine. First: the steps mentioned by osomon (Olivier) #3 are helpful to understand what's going on. My relevant output was:
JavaScript error: chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.js, line 162: NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI: Component returned failure code: 0x804b000a (NS_ERROR_MALFORMED_URI) [nsIURIMutator.setPort] This seems to be a bug related to the snap versions of TB. (I couldn't find the issue in the DEB versions) But I 'solved' the issue by entering the IP-address of the domain. Then TB seems to reinitialize it's procedure to give an opportunity to add an exception. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1904789 Title: [snap] Cannot confirm security exception for invalid certificate To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunderbird/+bug/1904789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
