Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS

The software version is GNOME Shell 46.0

The graphics driver is nvidia-driver-550.163.01

[GNOME Shell] frequently reports the error "Can't update stage views
actor... needs an allocation," especially during window operations and
when using Sogou Input Method.

On my Ubuntu system, GNOME Shell continuously outputs a large number of
"Can't update stage views actor unnamed [MetaWindowActorX11] is on
because it needs an allocation" and "... [MetaSurfaceActorX11] ..."
error logs. This issue occurs particularly frequently and severely when
resizing windows (maximizing or drag-to-scale) or using Sogou Input
Method for Chinese input, significantly affecting system stability and
user experience.

I have tried uninstalling all extensions and creating a completely new
user account for testing, but the problem persists. This indicates that
the issue may be related to system-level graphics or memory management
configuration, rather than specific user profile corruption.
