Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 22.04.05 LTS has gimp version 2.10.30

When you click on the color tiles to change the color,
the tool window has an 'eyedropper' button you can click on,
to use the mouse cursor to choose a color from the screen.
This button doesn't work at all, it has no effect.

The current prior stable release of Gimp, GIMP 2.10.36, was released on
November 5, 2023
Gimp 2.10.34 before this, included a fix for the eyedropper not working as
mentioned here:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/9247

** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
