I tried to reproduce the issue on both Ubuntu 24.04 and 25.04 running
with GTX 980 running proprietary drivers. I was unable to reproduce the
issue on the original snapd 2.71. Both desktop-security-center and
firmware-updater worked without fail. My system had second, built-in AMD
graphics that was disabled in BIOS prior to testing.
Some more data on my test system:
zyga@wyzima:~$ apt-cache policy snapd

EDIT: All of the above proves that 2.71 is working. Let me go back to
2.70 to see the failure. I have misread the original bug report because
we are approaching snapd 2.72 release and I was confused about which
release is to be tested.
