Ok. Let me clarify. The steps I suggest are safe in that you can easily go back to your previously working kernel (6.8.0-63 in this case) as long as you don't delete any kernel packages with that version. The process of switching the kernel back is the same when linux-generic- hwe-24.04 (6.14.0-33) is active.
1) Can you run "sudo apport-collect 2124226" while 6.8.0-63 is running? 2) Can you try our latest release (6.8.0-85) and let us know if it fixes this issue? The following commands should do that; sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade 3) If not, can you try our hwe kernel (6.14.0-33.33)? And let us know if this fixes the issue? sudo apt install linux-generic-hwe-24.04 # To activate 6.14 kernel (if not activated automatically upon reboot), you will need to update-grub as you are doing to switch back to 6.8.0-63 kernel. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2124226 Title: mic stoped working after update from 6.8.0-63-generic to 6.8.0-79-generic; mic works aga in after booting the older 6.8.0-63-generic To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2124226/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
