Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: synaptic

After trying to install Chicony USB Camera driver "TRIAL Generic SN9CXXX
Video4Linux1 & Video4Linux2 driver for *Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy, 32Bit)" found at
http://www.linux-projects.org/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?op=&cid=7";,
system returned "Erropackage may be corrupt...", now when I start Update
Manager or Synaptic, system returns "E: The package sn9cxxx needs to be
reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report."
So here am, filing a report.
