Well - I spoke too soon.  As soon as I run another `cd` command, the
error returned.

I had to then run `sudo dpkg-reconfigure byobu` and select no to the
question about starting byobu for all users on login.

Seems to have silenced it fully now.

Might be a Kubuntu thing as I don't recall having to answer that
question on Ubuntu 24.04.
