Hello,
Just commenting to let you know that I have modified your bug report to get
things rolling / bring more attention on SRUing the necessary changes on both
the crash and makedumpfile side of things. I've left your original description
intact at the bottom of the bug report

My testing, thus far, has pointed to me to these two commits in Makefile
[1]
https://github.com/makedumpfile/makedumpfile/commit/985e575253f1c2de8d6876cfe685c68a24ee06e1
[2]
https://github.com/makedumpfile/makedumpfile/commit/bad2a7c4fa75d37a41578441468584963028bdda

I see you're using amd64 - I found on that architecture that this commit was
needed in crash
[3]
https://github.com/crash-utility/crash/commit/6752571d8d782d07537a258a1ec8919ebd1308ad

All of these commits can be cherry-picked without conflicts. Well, [1]
and [2] have to be applied in that order
