I was tinkering with the AppArmor settings for BIND9 today, and stumbled upon this error.
Linux [redacted] 6.8.0-85-generic #85-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Thu Sep 18 15:26:59 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux — that's for Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (noble), after the update of yesterday. I can also fully confirm that @csjunior's quick fix works flawlessly (at least as far as it 'makes the error disappear'). Assuming that it's much easier to patch a shell script than the kernel — and apparently this bug was present in 'older' kernels as well, since Noble still uses the 6.8 series — what about just getting the AppArmor script just fixed? It's not as if it requires a *huge* change... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2102680 Title: Installation of AppArmor on a 6.14 kernel produces error message "Illegal number: yes" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/apparmor/+bug/2102680/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
