The issue is still present on Ubuntu 25.10. From journalctl:

systemd[1947]: Stopping [email protected] - GNOME Shell on
Wayland...
gnome-shell[2225]: Connection to xwayland lost
gnome-shell[2225]: Shutting down GNOME Shell
Then the GUI is freezing. Sometimes with black screen, sometimes with
moveable mouse cursor, but no clicks or keyboard presses are working
anymore -> I have to reset the computer.
