Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
I wasn't able to reproduce this behaviour on Questing nor on Plucky. My
test was,
1. Start playing music with laptop speakers.
2. Plug HDMI cable in, music automatically routed to HDMI.
3. Unplug HDMI cable, music automatically returns to laptop speakers.
The fix you referenced is shipped in Plucky,
wireplumber | 0.4.8-4 | jammy/universe | source, amd64, arm64, armhf,
ppc64el, riscv64, s390x
wireplumber | 0.4.17-1ubuntu4 | noble | source, amd64, arm64, armhf,
ppc64el, riscv64, s390x
wireplumber | 0.5.8-1 | plucky | source, amd64, arm64, armhf,
ppc64el, riscv64, s390x
wireplumber | 0.5.10-3 | questing | source, amd64, arm64, armhf,
ppc64el, riscv64, s390x
Can you verify your local wireplumber configuration contains the fix
(you have the package version containing the fix, so you should?)
$ grep 'profile.name == profile_name'
/usr/share/wireplumber/scripts/device/state-profile.lua
if profile.name == profile_name and profile.available ~= "no" then
If not, we'll need to enable debug logging and try to see what is going
wrong on your setup.
