I delved a little deeper into the topic:

In my case the dhcp-requests are not sent by dhcpcd, but by ipconfig.

Root-cause seems to be the case statement in `configure_networking()`
(file: `scripts/functions`) It looks like it does not support IP-Strings
like "IP=::::myhostname:eno1:dhcp", but only "IP=dhcp"
