Thanks for reporting. I can confirm vlc was listed in the additional packages when attempting to install obs-studio 30.2.3+dfsg-3 on Ubuntu Questing. (Mostly to check if anything had changed in the mean time).
Some further observations: * vlc is not listed among the direct dependencies for obs-studio on https://packages.ubuntu.com/questing/obs-studio so it looks like something further down is pulling it in. * When attempting to install with `sudo apt install obs-studio --no-install-recommends`, vlc is not included among dependencies. Looks like it is only a recommended package somewhere in the dependency tree. ** Changed in: obs-studio (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2121887 Title: Incorrect dependency in obs-studio package (unnecessary VLC dependency) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/obs-studio/+bug/2121887/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
