Hey sorry for the delay. I found the real issue and I was previously
wrong the kernel regression didn't fix the issue. It just happened to
work for a few times in a row and fake me out. I once again had chatGPT
put together a quick write up, I hope it helps.

Although in my own words what happened was I kept getting a AMDGPU error
like noted above. I didn't notice at first notice it was failing to load
the "integrated graphics" (Granite Ridge [1002:13c0]) that doesn't
exists on my 9600x. I blacklisted it in grub and after several
successful reboots the issue seems to actually be fixed. My PC seems to
also boot MUCH faster.

Here is the info organized by chatGPT for me and some logs I used to
find the issue in the zip file.

### Summary
Kernel falsely detects a non-existent GPU on Ryzen 9000 (Granite Ridge) CPUs,
causing amdgpu firmware load failures and boot instability.

---

### Update — Identified Root Cause

This issue is caused by the kernel incorrectly detecting a non-existent
integrated GPU on Ryzen 9000 series CPUs.

System specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 9600X (no iGPU)
- GPU: Radeon RX 9060 XT [1002:7590]
- Kernel versions tested: 6.14.0-32, 6.14.0-33, and 6.14.0-34 (bug present on
all)

The kernels enumerate an additional phantom GPU:
0e:00.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
[AMD/ATI] Granite Ridge [Radeon Graphics] [1002:13c0]

Because of this, the amdgpu driver attempts to load firmware for that device
and fails repeatedly:
- "failed to load ucode"
- "Fatal error during GPU init"
- "probe with driver amdgpu failed with error -110"

This causes slow boots or complete lockups during startup.

---

### Workaround
Add the following to `/etc/default/grub` and run `sudo
update-grub`:GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash amdgpu.ids=1002:7590"

After reboot, the system boots normally with no errors and no phantom
GPU.

---

### Notes
The bug affects all tested kernels and appears related to how Granite Ridge
CPUs expose a placeholder VGA device with ID `1002:13c0`.

Please ensure the amdgpu driver ignores this phantom device on Ryzen
9000 (Granite Ridge) CPUs that lack integrated graphics.
