Yes, I'm having the same problem with this notebook, even when using Ubuntu 25.10. I've also tried Debian 13 and Ubuntu 24.04 and 24.10, but had the same issue with all of them. I tried extracting the EDID file from Ubuntu 23.04, which does not have this problem and works correctly. I saved it in /lib/firmware/edid and entered the parameter in GRUB:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash drm.edid_firmware=LVDS-1:edid/edid.bin" and then: sudo update-grub sudo update-initramfs -k all -c But nothing changed. ** Attachment added: "get-edid.txt" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2092284/+attachment/5916588/+files/get-edid.txt -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2092284 Title: [Sony Vaio VPCF11M1E and VPCF127FX] Linux uses the wrong screen resolution To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/2092284/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
