Public bug reported:

Kernel 6.17 was supposed to add EDAC support for Alder Lake... but it
didn't!

I have a NUC 12 Pro X with an i7-12700 and W680 chipset, and there's no
EDAC support for it.

You can see some background and patch links on a RHEL-related bug
tracker: https://elrepo.org/bugs/view.php?id=1542

Apparently, the patches that were supposed to add support for it missed
the deadline for the final 6.17 release.

From the links in that report, the patch looks very simple:
https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/[email protected]/

I don't know enough about the upstream release process to guess whether
that change is likely to make it into an upstream point release.
