There are a initramfs-tools hooks/scripts that are requirements by
Ubuntu server and needs to be ported/replaced before Ubuntu server can
make Dracut the default:
* cloud-initramfs-copymods (for MAAS and others)
* overlayroot (for MAAS)
* cloud-initramfs-rooturl (mount squashfs r/w)
