I woke up to unattended-upgrades having installed the "bad" updates to several of my virtual servers and a physical one. I'm not sure, yet, which package is at fault.
So far, I have found that all affected machines now run: Ubuntu 22.04.2 LTS (GNU/Linux 5.15.0-156-generic x86_64), and they all have x86 CPUs. Workarounds: - Over-provision virtual servers with 8x more resources than they usually need, then running `systemctl stop unattended-upgrades` seems to keep them running (for longer?) - Alternatively, stopping auditd seems to work as a single measure: `systemctl stop auditd` immediately after a power-cycle Happy to provide logs or other details, if needed for reproduction. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2125707 Title: Upgrade to 5.15.0-151.161 crashes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/2125707/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
