Yes, the problem occurs without the dock connected. It is also inconsistent, and I see no mention of the backlight issue on that bug.
Just now I tested booting 1. in text mode 2. with two kernels -- Ubuntu 6.14.0-28.28-generic 6.14.8 and Ubuntu 6.14.0-32.32-generic 6.14.11 3. both with and without the dock connected Boot failed under all four combinations. After swapping dock/no-dock a few times, I eventually successfully booted with the 6.14.8 kernel and no dock. To re-emphasize, the same configuration that worked this time also failed repeatedly. I cannot determine exactly what I did to get it to succeed. Perhaps I am also wrong about text mode helping, given the irregularity. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2125854 Title: Boot problems with T14 Gen 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/2125854/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
