Workaround: about:addons, extensions, click on the wheel next to manage and select install addon from file, then source the langpack- [email protected] file from /snap/firefox/currrent/usr/lib/firefox/distribution/extensions/locale- fr.xpi/ for french, it should install correctly in your profile. There's still a bug in the packaging I suspect, but that should unblock.
