The only way I see to keep the old syntax and, at the same time, allow
to "cut" the name in pieces in the way the patch that broke it allows is
to publish somewhere (maybe in snapd-glib2?) a function that understand
the old format and return the pieces, thus knowing that if the fourth
piece is an UUID, it must be joined to the third piece...
