I also found this mildly confusing: having ptyxis in "follow system style", with the system style "light", I entered the preferences dialog (which showed the dark "Ubuntu" style selected, surrounded by all the "light" themes). I accidentally clicked on a light theme (was intending to scroll down but slipped and hit the wrong button), and the "Ubuntu" theme disappeared.
Took a minute to figure out it wasn't "gone" but I had to jump through the hoop of switching back to dark mode to be able to re-select it. Should we be providing both a light and a dark Ubuntu theme (given many of the other themes like Tango, Solarized, and VS Code have variants for both)? This would at least stop Ubuntu disappearing in this scenario. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2122390 Title: Can't choose a dark background while in light mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ptyxis/+bug/2122390/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
