Public bug reported:

After a change to my institutional wifi password, network manager fails
to alert me that the login was unsuccessful, and instead silently fails
to connect. There needs to be an alert and a prompt for updated
credentials. This works correctly on iPad, for example, with an
'incorrect password' popup requesting username and password to be
entered, but not on Ubuntu 24.04.
