The issue was fixed in GNOME Boxes version 48, where the package
'libvirt-daemon-system' was correctly added as a dependency.
However, Ubuntu 24.04 still ships GNOME Boxes version 46, where this
dependency is missing, causing the same problem.
It was fixed in the following update:

* Add Depends: libvirt-daemon-system and remove Recommends & Depends

In summary, the fix introduced in version 48 has not yet been applied to
the Ubuntu 24.04 (Noble Numbat) package, which still exhibits the
missing dependency issue.
