Update. The xserver-xorg-video-vmware is automatically installed when a user runs `apt install open-vm-tools-desktop`. Thus, after rebooting, the problem appears again.
This problem is avoidable by the following command : ``` sudo apt install -y open-vm-tools-desktop && sudo apt remove -y xserver-xorg-video-vmware ``` This command is fine for me. However, I am unsure whether this is reasonable or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2127892 Title: Kubuntu 25.10 screen gets black after logging on VMware Wokrstation Pro 17 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sddm/+bug/2127892/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
