FWIW I do see these logs on my system too after I delete the remote
desktop secret, e.g. using `seahorse`

15:44:34.9845 GLib-GIO[33836]: DEBUG: GTask
secret_service_async_initable_init_async (source object: 0x6363dfdfa1e0, source
tag: 0x7cbf7b78fce0) finalized without ever returning (using
g_task_return_*()). This potentially indicates a bug in the program.
15:44:34.9886 cc-system-panel[33836]: DEBUG: No RDP credentials available
15:44:34.9889 cc-system-panel[33836]: DEBUG: No RDP credentials available

but my gnome-control-center doesn't freeze.

The documentation for secret_password_store_sync does mention

> This method may block indefinitely and should not be used in user
interface threads.

so at least that part seems wrong on the gnome-control-center side.

Running `dbus-monitor --session destination=org.freedesktop.secrets
sender=org.freedesktop.secrets` while loading the "Remote Desktop" page
may show us why the secrets service is not responding.
