  The open-vm-tools-desktop allows capturing/releasing the cursor at the
  edge of the screen of the VMware Workstation. This functionality doesn't
  work correctly when the guest OS is Kubuntu and the session is the
  wayland.

- Inside the VMware Workstation Pro, when the cursor reached to the boundary of 
the guest OS desktop, it crosses the boundary automatically and is captured by 
host OS desktop. Also, when the cursor crosses the VMware window edge from the 
host OS desktop to the guest OS desktop, the cursor is automatically captured 
by the guest OS.
