Since this grave bug in unattended-upgrades isn't going to be fixed,
here is the only reliable fix:
/etc/apt/apt.conf.d/99fix-broken-unattended-upgrades-origins:
Unattended-Upgrade::Origins-Pattern {
"origin=*";`
};
