I didn't notice this issue on my primary box (whilst it ran questing/25.10) or even when updated to resolute/26.04, as for some reason I have xterm installed. This is the machine I use mkusb on (mostly).
I also checked on a secondary machine (d780) which runs questing and it too had no issue starting mkusb from terminal or menu, but again that machine had xterm already installed (and I don't know why). ( Both the above machines are non-destructively re-installed on occasion; and thus my install method will cause packages that were there to re-install, so dropping of some packages on later ISO/installs won't usually be noticed as they'll get added with the end-user apps that aren't on the ISO itself ) Using a QA test installed version of Lubuntu 25.10 however (sony vaio), and adding the mkusb PPA and I have the exact issue sudodus is talking about... I can't open mkusb at menu. ( If I was using mkusb myself, I'd be running it from terminal and thus not notice this; however the bug is the menu items the app provides aren't working due to xterm issue & that would be noticed by many users! ) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2129041 Title: Qterminal package claims to provide xterm but does not actually do it To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/mkusb/+bug/2129041/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
