Public bug reported:

The upstream tests are failing with the new python, it has been fixed
upstream in the newest version but that update needs a transition and is
only in Debian/experimental atm

https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/pygobject/-/merge_requests/460
is a backport to 3.52 but doesn't apply to 3.50

Possible options:
- wait for the transition to start in Debian
- go ahead and sync from experimental before Debian starts the transition
- update the change to apply to 3.50
