Public bug reported:

Scheduled-For: ubuntu-25.11
Ubuntu: 2.2.1-1ubuntu1
Debian Unstable: 2.2.1-3

A new release of tree is available for merging from Debian Unstable.

If it turns out this needs a sync rather than a merge, please change the
tagging from ['dcr-merge'] to ['dcr-sync'], and (optionally) update the
title as desired.

### New Debian Changes ###

tree (2.2.1-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * [54d89f5] d/patches/: update patch to fix JSON and XML output broken if
    path invalid.
But actually disable it for now as it seems further clarification is
    required, cf. LP#2113790.
