Public bug reported: Hello,
On a fresh install of Kubuntu there are no drivers for my TP-Link Archer T9E AC1900. This uses a Broadcom 4360, with a PCI.ID of 14e4:43a0 (rev 3). The installer I downloaded from the website was for (I believe) 25.04. During the install process I could select a WiFi network, but it didn't want to connect. The installer crashed (most likely unrelated to the WiFi issue), and from then on the system refused to detect the WiFi board. I have since updated to 25.10, and the situation is exactly the same. This is a dual boot system, and the WiFi works just fine in Windows. I have made sure that the system is up to date. Fast boot is disabled. I have also done a full shutdown to make sure Windows is not still holding on to the board somehow. I have tried the Driver Manager and it does not suggest any alternate drivers. I have also followed the instructions in this thread: https://askubuntu.com/questions/55868/installing-broadcom- wireless-drivers/60395 No success. Root cause seems to be that the bcmwl-kernel-source package is not available. I have tried other drivers, none of them have worked. I have pretty much tried every advice I could come across, but no fix. Do note that the WiFi board is discoverable with lspci Will the bcmwl-kernel-source driver be made available again? Is there an alternative? Can it be downloaded in another manner? Please let me know if you need any other details. Thanks. ** Affects: bcmwl (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2130450 Title: No wireless drivers for Archer T9E AC1600 (Broadcom 4360 - 14e4:43a0 (rev 3)) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl/+bug/2130450/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
