Public bug reported:

The zoom shortcuts Ctrl + + and Ctrl + - do not work until one has used
Ctrl + 0 or used an initial zoom from the zoom menu. This is after
having switched out of the presentation mode to the regular mode. Once
Ctrl + 0 or a menu zoom level is chosen with the mouse, Ctrl +/- start
working.
