Public bug reported:

gnome-shell-extension-appindicator causes a memory leak when activated
on ubuntu 25.10.

On fresh start without the extension being enabled, gnome-shell uses
around 130 MB of RAM.

On fresh start with the extension being enabled, gnome-shell uses around
230 MB of RAM, +100 MB increase.

To reproduce the bug:

1) Make sure the gnome-shell-extension-appindicator extension is
disabled

2) Open System Monitor to measure the initial memory usage of gnome-
shell

3) Enable Ubuntu Appidicators extension

4) Measure the memory usage of gnome-shell afterwards
