OS: Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS, Gnome: 46, Kernel: Linux 6.14.0-33-generic,
wayland.

I can also confirm that modifying/adding variables above to
/etc/environment file resolved this issue.

Likely the issue was caused for me by running the attached configuration
scripts in the given order on a fresh installation, there is also gnome-
tweaks installed, hope this helps developers to isolate the cause.
