Public bug reported: You can't run any applications in Kubuntu 25.10 that use KDESU to gain root privileges, such as KSystemLog or Software Sources from Discover/System Settings. KDESU does not pop up a window asking for the root password, and after two minutes a window pops up saying "su returned with an error".
