Public bug reported:
Hi!
Im using
Description: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Release: 24.04
My external monitor stopped working after the 6.14.0-34 generic kernel update
in Nov 5. I logged back into the 6.14.0-33 kernel instead and now my external
monitor works. So it seems the nvidia drivers are not working for the 6.14.0-34
kernel. I tried sudo ubuntu-drivers autoinstall and it prompted me to a system
error screen "do you want to report the system problem to the developers?" and
so that is what I am doing. This are the errors I get for this command
Errors were encountered while processing
linux-modules-nvidia-580-6.14.0-35-generic
linux-modules-nvidia-580-generic-hwe-24.04
linux-modules-nvidia-550-generic-hwe-24.04
E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
So it looks like the error appears for the kernel ...0-35-generic, which
I haven't tried out, but at least I know that the drivers are already
failing for the 0-34-generic. I will keep working on the 33-generic
until I get response from you.
Thanks so much!
