Apparently from what I understood from the sources, there is only one file where LANG and LC_ALL env vars are checked, so the Rust version of the 'date' command seems no yet ready or equivalent to the Gnu version.
And according to: https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/migration-to-rust-coreutils-in-25-10/59708 To revert to Gnu Coreutils: apt download coreutils-from-gnu dpkg --install ./coreutils-from-gnu_0.0.0~ubuntu24_all.deb Eventually, I will do that... or else I could convert date.c to date.rs independently from the uutils project.
