This is not a bug with dkms. The problem is the backport-iwlwifi-dkms
package ( bug 2127870 )
But since you have a Broadcom adapter, that is not the correct/relevant
package for your system. It only supports Intel wireless adapters (and
isn't necessary on kernel 6.14 anyway). So remove it:
sudo apt purge backport-iwlwifi-dkms
Please run the following command to (hopefully) gather wireless-specific
information
apport-collect 2131062
** Summary changed:
- package linux-image-6.14.0-35-generic 6.14.0-35.35~24.04.1 failed to
install/upgrade: run-parts: /etc/kernel/postinst.d/dkms exited with return code
11, trying to get my wifi to work.
+ [Dell Inspiron11-3148] Broadcom BCM43142 Wifi Not Working
** Package changed: dkms (Ubuntu) => network-manager (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: network-manager (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
