I probably just installed the "bad" plugins; after that, a missing
symbol in one of the dependencies must have triggered the issue each
time GStreamer builds its list of available plugins. And as my 2nd post
showed, any time the package was built with LTS updates in installed,
the same error should have occurred.

 to come to that suspicion? :P
