FWIW I attempted this:

https://www.reddit.com/r/archlinux/comments/zweejv/comment/lwlq8b5/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
After having the fix sugguested and it fixed my issue. So it is unclear if the
reddit post by itself fixed it or some combination of the
mediatek7925e-bluetooth-fix + reddit post fixed it. Here is exactly what I did:
1. Attempted this fix: https://github.com/LuanAdemi/mediatek7925e-bluetooth-fix
and the issue persisted.
2. disable wifi
3. Attempt to enable bluetooth (failed)
4. enable wifi
5. Attempt to enable bluetooth (failed)
6. Follow the steps in the above reddit comment.
7. After a reboot bluetooth fixed.

So I'm not sure fully what the fix was but those steps worked for me.
