Prior to upgrading to Kubuntu 25.10 there were no issues for me with
Libreoffice.
Thought the problem was with office 25.8.2 so installed earlier versions,
25.2.6 and an archived version 25.2.5 last updated 13-Jul-2025. Same result,
icon appears then during Libreoffice initialisation icon disappears. Nothing
else appears on the screen.
All versions from Libreoffice.org site and all are DEB packages.

Finally I tried the version installed by Discover, the gui based package
manager that comes with Kubuntu, and Libreoffice works but the user interface
is not good.
I've attached a screenshot of the interface.

The problem might be a backward incompatibility issue or plasma given all the
changes made.
Discover fails to install Libreoffice KDE Integration version
4:25.8.2-0ubuntu0.25.10.1
"Improves LibreOffice integration within the KDE Plasma desktop environment"
There should be two screenshot attachments, the second one is the Discover
error message
