And the latest version of Kubuntu does not include X.Org (X11) by default. It is for the Kubuntu developers to consider whether re-including X.org in Kubuntu would be a good idea. It seems that not all applications are compatible with Wayland yet. I worked for about three hours trying to add X.org to Kubuntu as well, but I was unsuccessful. The guides I found online didn't work for me. It is much more complicated than I thought.
