The issue occurred right after the first reboot after upgrading Ubuntu
25.04 to 25.10 without any manual intervention to apparmor in between.
However, intrigued by the presence of the bwrap-userns-restrict file and yet it
apparently being ignored, I had a look in the disabled subfolder.
It turns out a symbolic link to the file was present. I removed the link and
the manually created bwrap work-around and all is functioning as it should.
Looking in the bash history, it was me who manually added the disabled link in
the past and forgot all about it.
As I said, every Ubuntu upgrade comes with AppArmor issues (Firefox, Remmina,
etc.). This file must have given me issues in the past after an earlier upgrade.
Sorry for the trouble...
