Public bug reported:

The automatic screen brightness feature under power settings doesn't
work properly. It keeps oscillating between two levels of brightness on
my laptop and is very annoying. I turned it off and it stopped
oscillating. I also plug in a HDMI cable to a TV/Monitor and it doesn't
do that anymore but probably it's because I also close the laptop so the
camera doesn't have much light coming into it. Thank you for looking
into the problem.
