** Description changed:

- ystem Details:
+ System Details:

  OS: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
  Kernel: 6.14.0-34-generic
  NVIDIA Driver: 580.95.05
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti (PCI:01:00.0)
Motherboard: [CPU with onboard GPU at PCI:10:00.0]
  Display Managers: lightdm
  Desktop Environment: GNOME (ubuntu-xorg session)

  Connected Displays:

  HDMI-2: 1920x1080
  DP-4: 2560x1440
  DP-5: 2560x1440

  Issue:

  X11 session starts successfully
  NVIDIA kernel modules load: nvidia_uvm, nvidia_drm, nvidia_modeset
xrandr correctly detects all 3 monitors and outputs configuration
Screenshots render correctly to all monitors
But: Physical monitors receive no video signal - blank screens with no
display output

  Workaround:

Wayland session works perfectly with all 3 monitors displaying correctly
Using xrandr --auto to mirror displays sometimes provides partial signal
Manual xrandr positioning commands execute without error but don't restore
signal

  Key Observations:

Identical hardware boots other Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS on separate drive - all 3
monitors work immediately without configuration
Issue persists after: driver reinstall, xorg.conf regeneration, kernel update
DRM device detection: /dev/dri/card1 and /dev/dri/card2 created correctly
Xorg.0.log shows successful initialization of nvidia-drm but no display
output errors
Dual GPU system (NVIDIA discrete + AMD onboard) - AMD GPU is blacklisted,
doesn't affect issue

  Steps to Reproduce:

Install Ubuntu 24.04.3 with NVIDIA 580 driver
Connect 3 displays to NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti outputs
  Boot to X11 session
Observe blank displays despite xrandr showing correct configuration

  Expected Behavior:
All 3 monitors should display X11 desktop immediately upon login, as they do
in Wayland session and on other OSes.
  Actual Behavior:
X11 session runs but produces no video output to any monitor.
  Logs:

dmesg | grep nvidia - shows successful module loading
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log - shows successful X server initialization
xrandr --query - shows all monitors connected with correct
resolutions/positions
