Public bug reported:
If transmission is not currently running, downloading a .torrent file
through firefox works as expected: transmission opens and asks where to
download the file. If it is currently running, the download does nothing
(meaning that firefox's "Always Open Similar Files" and file association
do nothing.
The .torrent file can still be opened through transmission's
"File->Open" menu item (or by pressing CTRL+O), after which transmission
behaves normally.
This behavior also happens with magnet links.
Running Ubuntu 25.10 with the 6.17.0-6-generic kernel
