FYI this project matured a bit more and nowadays the virgl-server (to draw the output) is a recommends in resolute. This isn't a outbound server like an apache2 server, but a binary to connect the guest to drawing the 3d content. It thereby does not come with a systemd service that auto-starts something. It's usage is still mostly test - after all even the binary still is "virgl_test_server".
It is part of the same source (and thereby already under watch), has evolved out of the test-server that existed back when evaluated - not excluded at the review back then. Own dependencies are libc and libvulkan - both already in main. For now - promoting to satisfy the dependency (If it is a problem, at the current scope it could be a suggests as well): ./change-override --component main --suite resolute virgl-server Override component to main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute amd64: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute amd64v3: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute arm64: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute armhf: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute ppc64el: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute riscv64: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main virgl-server 1.2.0-2 in resolute s390x: universe/otherosfs/optional/100% -> main Override [y|N]? y 7 publications overridden. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1657409 Title: [MIR] virglrenderer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virglrenderer/+bug/1657409/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
